The living museum is a meeting place that brings together people and the St. Bernards dogs from the Great St. Bernard pass. The legendary St. Bernards dogs are a main focus. The museum contains art objects and items that have shaped the history of the hospice, the Great St. Bernard Pass and its dogs, which showcases this cultural patrimony by means of a modern and interactive presentation aimed at fostering the world-famous symbolism of the Swiss national dog.
