The Barry Foundation appoints a new director

The Board of Foundation has appointed Mélanie Glassey-Roth as the new Director of the Barry Foundation. She will take up her new post on September 10, 2024, taking over from President Jean-Maurice Tornay, who has also been Director since 2019.

Following a rigorous procedure, she was chosen to take over at a key moment, ten months before the opening of the new Barryland Theme Park. Mélanie Glassey-Roth has a wealth of professional experience, having worked in a number of prestigious hotels in French-speaking Switzerland. She is a HES business economist in the hotel and hospitality professions, with a Bachelor of Science from the École hôtelière de Lausanne. Mélanie Glassey-Roth’s application stood out in particular for her hospitality and team management skills. Her personal, social and managerial skills are all qualities that she will put at the service of the Barry Foundation and the new park. Jean-Maurice Tornay, President of the Barry Foundation and Chairman of the Barryland Theme Park Steering Committee, is delighted with the appointment of this Valais native and looks forward to working with her in the future.

They have soft fur and were born on January 19. Baltic du Grand St. Bernard, daughter of world champion V'Barry du Grand St. Bernard, has given birth to 9 puppies: 5 males and 4 females. This is her second litter, this time sired by Eda Iwan Zarewitsch od Hodousické Louky, a long-haired male. The first names of these adorable fur balls will begin with the letter "S", but we won't know for another month whether their coat is short or long. The puppies will be at Barryland for 4 weeks in early March, but can already be seen online.
